Erin Victor started Akron Snow Angels in 2015 in Akron, Ohio.  She saw the struggles of the homeless in her community and wanted to do something to help.  Today, we are a 501(c)3 charity that helps hundreds of people per year.

Mission: Akron Snow Angels spreads warmth and connects with the most vulnerable in our community by providing basic essentials and fostering compassionate friendships while inspiring others to do the same.

Vision: We envision a community where every individual is warm and treated with compassion and respect.

We “Spread the Warmth” by providing the less fortunate with warm clothing, blankets, toiletries, and lunch. But, just as importantly, we want to “Spread the Warmth of Heart.”  We do this by showing people compassion, respect, and fostering friendships through conversation.  So often the less fortunate are used to being ignored, but we believe everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and spoken to as equals.

Twice a month from November through April, we go on “missions” to homeless camps and areas surrounding shelters to #SpreadTheWarmth.  We provide around 250 lunches on each mission, as well as gently used winter clothing & toiletries that have been donated to us.  We use donor dollars to fulfill requests for winter items we do not have in stock suck as winter boots & coats.  The larger sizes are the hardest to keep in stock.  We do our best to quickly procure the items and deliver to the requestor.

Our goal is not to just drop off lunch and winter items and walk away.  The organization’s plan is to connect with the impoverished to determine needs.  Our leadership and volunteers take the time to talk with people who are stuck in impoverished circumstances to see how they can make a difference in their lives along with providing them with the necessary items that they are unable to provide for themselves.  We help them to find housing, jobs, and anything else they need to get back on their feet.

Akron Snow Angels do fundraising throughout the year to obtain funds to pay for items in the winter months.  We are also lucky to receive direct donations of money and items.  All of the lunches we pass out are donated by different local groups or families.  All donated funds are invested in the organization.

Please consider donating or helping Akron Snow Angels so we may continue to help people and fulfill our mission.  We thank you for your consideration.
